Colour WheelThe model we commonly use to describe colour relationships is circular, the "colour wheel." Artists and scientists have noticed that if we gather similar hues together, the groupings and neighbourhoods that emerge are useful ways to discuss and work with colour. The primary colours are spaced out around the wheel, and we find secondary colours between them. Neighbouring colours are called analogous and the colours that are opposite one another are called complementary. Art & Text (C) Linda Carson 2002
