The dear friend who now owns this piece has worked with salmon professionally all his adult life. He felt Real Bad about telling me this fish has an extra fin on its belly that shouldn't be there. Of course, the damned thing would fall over without it--a problem live salmon never have to deal with. The fundamental problem of sculpture is making things stand up. Sorry, Alex.
