Life Out Loudby Linda Carson"This is life out loud, honey, and I want to be revered, not reformed." So a friend of mine finished grad school and wanted her own one-woman show. Well, that's how I remember it now that I've written the show and we workshopped it together at Wilfrid Laurier University. But it's more historically accurate to say that someone I knew, Darlene Spencer, contacted a few writers and then invited me to write her a script. The friend thing happened in process. So it's a three-character one-woman one-act called Life Out Loud, but we workshopped it under the title I am Scheherezade because Holly Hunter stole our title for a movie that opened the same month we did. We're over it now. Check out an excerpt. Of course, Linda Carson holds the copyright on this script and she'd be forced to take bold action if you used it without permission or claimed it as your own.
