Linda has a LifeLinda Carson is an artist, playwright, technical writer & speaker, lapsed mathie and generally fun person to know... You know how it is, a career in the arts. The only thing more hopeless than being a sculptor would be to divide my energies and pursue a career in the theatre at the same time. The good news is that even if I succeed beyond my wildest dreams, I'll still be working in convenient obscurity and ennobling poverty! After I finished graduate school I figured I could either find a day job, or make one. I teach full-time in my own studio--where I try to remind myself regularly that the idea was to help me make my own work. You're welcome to arrange a visit to the big black pig studio sometime. Set up an appointment, though. If I kept regular nine-to-five hours, I'd have no credibility at all. So my first two rules of business are that I don't work before ten in the morning, and I don't wear pantihose. Navigating this siteEverything in this site (and some points beyond) is laced together somewhere inside. So if you believe in side streets, slow boats and "the road less travelled by" then just click something and start ambling through. If, on the other hand, you believe in express lanes, fast food and sound bytes, you'll want to know the shortcuts to the main events:
